A Plain Dealer report revealed this morning that the ball that Z used to enter the Cavs’ 10,000 point club walked out of The Quicken Loans Arena after the Atlanta Hawks game. The ball was tossed in the crowd and the individual who caught it, never returned it. Obviously they can’t do much with that ball, so it would be nice to get it back. If somebody would bring it back, I could sign my jersey or trade something. I could ask LeBron to sign something for them, Ilguaskas joked. Akron Beacon Journal
Ilgauskas wouldn’t play ball with WOIO, though. In his inimitable style, he said he didn’t have anything to say to whoever took the ball.
“Maybe there are some poor kids playing with it right now,” he said with a shrug. “Maybe they need it more. Then keep it.” Of course, Ilgauskas did admit he’d like the ball back and was willing to make a deal. “If somebody would bring it back, I could sign my jersey or trade something,” he said and then joked, “I could ask LeBron [James] to sign something.”
