Cavs forward LeBron James gets his fair share of harassment for working the refs during games on the road, but his coach sees that his star player doesn’t get the calls he deserves. Case in point: During Saturday’s game against the Utah Jazz, James took a shot right across the face from Kyrylo Fesenko as he dunked the ball and got no foul call. Akron Beacon Journal
Brown said that many officials won’t make a call for James because he hasn’t been ”rerouted.” He said that Michael Jordan would regularly get those calls. ”The NBA, in my opinion, I think they have a big problem with just looking at how big and strong he is and not calling something when he gets hit,” Brown said. ”He’s got to get clobbered to get a call.” When asked if the players should go back to policing that type of situation as they did in the past, Brown smiled and said: ”You’re trying to get me in trouble, but you know what? I liked the game back then.” Akron Beacon Journal
